The shortage of carrot seed oil and the potential to cultivate wild carrots provide exporters with opportunities to produce this oil. The oil is produced from wild-collected carrot seed and is in limited supply, demand currently exceeding available supplies. The main barrier for entering the market is securing sufficient supplies of the raw material. Although the plant grows in different regions in the world, collection of its seeds for oil production is labor-intensive.
