Coal Hydrogenation

Coal Hydrogenation

  • The coal hydrogenation process for making fuels has been investigated that its application on industrial process almost since 40 years ago.
  • Coal hydrogenation have been suggested that they are easily decomposed in the feed stock which consist sufficient sulfur, are not the true catalysts.
  • The product of coal hydrogenation consists appreciable quantities of aliphatic, single ring & polycyclic , heterocyclic compounds, and the hydro aromatics.
  • The several hydrogenated with or without adding water under non catalytic conditions in coal hydrogenation, addition of water increased the CO2 formation and the phenolic compounds in the obtained the oils.
  • The reaction involves injection of pulverized coal entrained in a minimum amount of gas and mixing the entrained coal at ambient temperature with a separate source of heated hydrogen results in formation of hydrocarbon gases and liquids suitable for conversion to fuels.
  • In proposed modified Bergius processes involves the three phase coal hydrogenation achieved two steps and the first step is liquid three-phase coal liquefaction and the second step is the gas phase hydro cracking.

PVD Nano-Coatings

  • Physical Vapor Deposition(PVD) Coating is describing a family of thin film coating process which applied under vacuum conditions.
  • A useful technique to improve the surface properties of metallic materials such as wear resistance, anti-corrosion properties and oxidation resistance.
  • Application of selected PVD Nano-structured coatings with a thickness less than 1microM will improve the life of Ni & Titanium cutting tools without worsening at all tool sharpness.
  • Good choosing of PVD coatings will decrease friction that result in a reduction of overheating risk, allowing higher machining speeds and also avoid the usage of lubricant.

Cheap Cambodian sand reaches Chennai

Manufactured Sand has great Potential !
Look at what is happening..
suppliers of sand in Cambodia are able to supply one cubic foot of sand at around Rs. 12.
The price of sand has touched Rs. 65 per cubic foot in the city on account of various factors, including hoarding of sand by many suppliers
Government officials, including those from the Public Works Department, said that many projects including major infrastructure projects in the city are being hit by the scarcity of sand.
According to officials, sand price accounts for around 15 per cent of the project cost at present. Even though the State environment impact assessment authority had recently accorded clearance for a few sand quarries, the scarcity of sand in the city is likely to continue this monsoon.
The Mekong River sand from the river has already been exported to countries such as Singapore. The river runs through countries including China, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam
