The present world production of grape is equally shared for fresh consumption and processing. The grapes are grown for various purposes. Generally, the grapes are classified into the following five groups depending on their use : table grapes, raisin grapes, wine grapes, juice grapes and canning grapes. There is good scope for grape cultivation due to its uses.
